Privacy Notice

The Center for Complexity Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (hereinafter the C3) with an address at Circuito Centro Cultural S/N (in front of Universum) Ciudad Universitaria, Coyoacán, C.P. 04510, Mexico City, Mexico is the entity responsible for collecting your personal data and the treatment that is given to them.

If you are a user of the MoFuSS platform, the data we collect from you will be used for the following purposes:

  • Provide training services, updates, and activities necessary for academic, professional, and extracurricular development in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (hereinafter ICT).
  • Operate the central infrastructure of the MoFuSS platform as well as the user databases, queries, associated databases, user identification, registration of visits, and web browsing among others necessary for its proper operation.
  • Manage and administer access credentials for users in terms of usernames and passwords plus the data associated with each profile registered on the platform.
  • Provide all kinds of administrative, scientific, academic, and/or outreach services required by the team managing the platform and/or the entities collaborating on it.
  • Provide advice and services according to the platform's objectives.
  • Generate statistical usage and operation profiles of the platform based on user navigation.
  • Other legitimate and reasonable uses within the framework of the work team, collaborating entities, and the platform.

We collect your personal data using electronic communication means, specifically:

  • Identifiers: Names and surnames, date of birth, gender, email(s), country, state, and city of residence, among others.
  • Employment: Affiliation entity, sector, company or institution where you work, employment status in that company or institution, whether self-employed or developing a business model and/or self-employment, the sector in which you primarily perform your professional and/or work functions, among others necessary to create and manage the user profile.
  • Academic: Names and surnames, highest academic degree achieved, among others necessary to create and manage the user profile.

Cookies and Web Beacons

The website uses cookies and web beacons through which it is possible to generate statistical information.

Cookies are files automatically generated and stored on the user's device when accessing a specific Internet site that allows recording data about the user's session, such as preferences for viewing pages on that server, username, and password.

Web beacons are techniques that record user activity regarding access to certain types of information on the website for statistical purposes and site improvement. Information recorded with these techniques includes:

  • Browser type and operating system.
  • Whether you have software like JavaScript or Flash.
  • The site visited before ours.

Exercise of ARCOP Rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition, and Portability of Your Personal Data)

You have the right to know what personal data we have about you, what we use it for, and the conditions of its use (Access). Likewise, it is your right to request the correction of your personal information if it is outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete (Rectification); to have it removed from our records or databases when you consider that it is not being used properly (Cancellation); as well as to oppose the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Opposition). These rights are known as ARCO rights.

This university area currently does not have interoperable systems of structured and commonly used formats to allow the holder to benefit from the prerogative of data portability in terms of article 6 of the Guidelines that establish the parameters, modalities, and procedures for data portability published in the DOF on February 12, 2018, so it is not possible to exercise the prerogative of the portability of your personal data.

To exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition, you can go to the Transparency Unit of the National Autonomous University of Mexico with an address on the northwest side of the Olympic Stadium Circuit, without number, next to the Annex of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, Ciudad Universitaria, Coyoacán, C.P. 04510, Mexico City, or through the National Transparency Platform (http://www.plataformadetransparencia.org.mx).

The decision will be communicated to you within a maximum period of twenty business days from the date the request was received, so that if it is appropriate, it will be made effective within fifteen business days following the communication of the response.

You can revoke the consent that you have given us for the processing of your personal data. However, it is important to note that not in all cases will we be able to meet your request or conclude the use immediately, as it is possible that for some legal obligation we need to continue processing your personal data. Likewise, you should consider that for certain purposes, the revocation of your consent will mean that we will no longer be able to provide you with one or more of our services that you requested or will result in the termination of your relationship with us.

Modifications to the Privacy Notice

This privacy notice may undergo modifications or updates. These updates or modifications will be available to the public, so you can consult them on this website. It is recommended to review the Privacy Notice at least once every six months to stay updated on the conditions and terms of this notice.
